The MTC is the state's development agency for renewable energy and the innovation economy.

Mass Energy is a not-for-profit organization based in Boston. They offer several clean electric products and have partnered with Conservation Service Group (CSG), a not-for-profit energy conservation organization.

Coop Power
Coop Power is a community-owned renewable energy resources in the Northeastern US.

Energy Justice
This is the grassroots energy agenda - a Portal to Energy Activism. Energy Justice is the only national organization advocating a complete phase-out of nuclear power, fossil fuel energy and incineration within the next 20 years.

National Renewable Energy Laboratory
The DOE's lab for renewable energy and energy efficiency research and development.

Northeast Sustainable Energy Association
The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) is the nation's leading regional membership organization focused on promoting the understanding, development, and adoption of energy conservation and non-polluting, renewable energy technologies.

Energy Information Administration
Official energy statistics and information from the U.S. government. Search for information by region, sector, fuel, price, and more.

Alternative Energy Institute
AEI was organized to educate the public about the impending non-renewable energy crisis, the search for solutions, and to improve the climate for development of new energy technologies. They are a group of concerned people who believe solutions can be found when people are aware of the problems facing the world.

National Renewable Energy Laboratory
The U.S. Department of Energy's premier laboratory for renewable energy research & development and a lead lab for energy efficiency R&D. This is the nation's leading laboratory for renewable energy and energy efficiency research. NREL develops renewable energy technologies to heat and cool buildings; increase efficiency in industry, light homes and offices; power cars and trucks; produce plastics, clothing, and chemicals; clean our water; and destroy toxic waste.

Union of Concerned Scientists
UCS is an independent nonprofit alliance of 50,000 concerned citizens and scientists across the country. They augment rigorous scientific analysis with innovative thinking and committed citizen advocacy to build a cleaner, healthier environment and a safer world. They work in coalition with other environmental groups that share their goals.

International Solar Energy Society
This is the world umbrella body for solar energy. Founded in 1954, it has more than 30 National Sections worldwide. The Society has more than 5000 members, mainly scientists and professionals working in the field of Solar Energy.

PV information
This is a non-commercial PV (photovoltaic) information resource.

Alternative Technology Association
Established in 1980, the ATA is a non-profit community group (based in Australia) that aims to use and promote environmentally friendly technology. They are interested in renewable energy sources such as the sun, wind and water; building with natural materials and conserving energy.

Canada's "sustainable living" site. Has some good basic information on alternative energy (and conservation).

Climate Ark
The Climate Ark is dedicated to promoting public policy that addresses global climate change through reductions in carbon dioxide and other emissions, renewable energy, energy conservation and ending deforestation.

EnergyHawk
This web site is the labor-of-love of a husband and wife team in Seattle, Washington. Alarmed by news reports about the gap between energy demand and supply and the likely impact on the economically disadvantaged, they turned to the Internet as a way to promote energy conservation. Nice tips, and a nice effort!

Alliance to Save Energy
ASE is a world-renowned nonprofit coalition of prominent business, government, environmental, and consumer leaders dedicated to the efficient and clean use of energy. Has some summer-specific energy saving tips.
